Betacam Video Transfer
We transfer, copy and convert Betacam and Betacam SP video tapes to DVD and Editable File Formats.
Betacam, Betacam SP and Betacam SP-S video format was first produced by Sony at the beginning of the 80's, and superceded professional U-Matic tapes. Betacam SP was rapidly adopted by television studios around the globe and was a very popular and versatile professional video format.
There are two tapes sizes, the smaller ones look like, and are often mistaken for, Betamax tapes. Betacam video cannot be played on Betamax equipment. We have the capacity to play both small and large betacam tape formats
For earlier recordings we use the excellent Sony BVW-22P Betacam deck. For later recordings, we use a Sony UVW1200P deck which has an onboard digital time base corrector resulting in the highest quality possible transfers to DVD and digital MP4 Files.

PAL-NTSC Video Conversions
PAL (UK) recorded video will need be converted TO NTSC for use in countries such as Japan and USA.
Betacam Digital Files
Betacam Computer Editable MP4 Files
Some of our customers require editable files from Betacam video tapes for editing on a PC or MAC.
We normally supply editable MP4 Files which can play on both systems, bur other file formats are available on request.
Editable file sizes can be very large so you may need to supply an external hard drive or large capacity camera card or USB stick
Betacam to DVD Prices
Betacam video transfer to DVD costs £36 per tape.
You can choose between encoded DVDs for use on your TV system or editable MP4 Files for home computer editing on both Windows and Mac computers.
10 Day Turnaround
Betacam SP video transfers to DVD normally 10 working days.
However, if you need your work urgently, we have a rush service (extra charge).
